Pepperoni roll and pie orders will be delivered tomorrow (Monday November 12) , and you may pick up your orders inside the auditorium entrance between 4pm and 7 pm.

Reminder: Thursday booster meeting, Friday performance, Monday pies and rolls

Hello Chorus students and families!
Our November meeting is this Thursday, November 8 at 7 pm in the chorus room.  Please come through door 39 to attend the meeting.  Door 39 is by the auditorium.  “Willy Wonka” the fall play is that evening as well, so  parking will be busy. Please allow plenty of time to park.
This Friday, November 9th is our annual Veteran’s day commemoration.  Students should remember their performance apparel.  The program will be in the HS main gym at 10-10:30.  The community is welcome.
The pies and pepperoni rolls will be delivered to the school on Monday, November 12th.  Time to be announced.

Important Bonfire Information / Letter from Mrs. Kipp

Dear chorus families,
This e-mail will update you on the events / deadlines that are coming up in the next few weeks.
Our bonfire is scheduled for Saturday evening (10/20) at the Scott fire circle.  There is an attached list of what students need to bring, if they signed up to come. Unfortunately, it is calling for RAIN.  In the event that it is RAINING at 5 pm the bonfire will be called off.  Unfortunately, there are not dates available after this weekend.  If the weather is nice chorus students can still “sign up.”  Just have them bring either a pack of hot dogs and rolls or 6 large candy bars.
The deadline for the second NYC payment is today (Friday).  Each payment is $115.  Please turn them in as soon as possible as we have a $4,000 payment this month to cover the cost of our show, “Waitress.”
Students have a deadline to turn in their performance apparel of November 2nd.
      Cadenza Women
wash dress gently and hang on plastic hanger to dry.  Bring to school on plastic hanger with name/number tag and black dress shoes.
      Cadenza Men
bring in white dress shirt with long sleeves and button down collar, black dress pants and black dress shoes.  (Washed and pressed.)
       Select men and women
Have robes cleaned and hemmed (if needed) bring to school on plastic hanger and name/number tag.
The pie and pepperoni roll sales are in full swing.  The orders and checks are are due November 1st, in school.  They will be delivered  to CVHS on November 12th.  Questions?  Text Kelly Wieland at 412-860-9772.

Chorus Boosters Meeting Minutes / Announcements October 2018

The CVCPSA (chorus boosters) met Thursday October 11 in the High School Chorus room with Mrs. Kipp, 2 officers, 3 adults and 2 students in attendance

Completed Activities

  • Car Wash in September was cancelled due to rain and can not be rescheduled due to colder weather.
  • NEW Instagram account: @cvhs.chorus. Last year’s account will close by the end of October. Social media and email contacts continue same as last year. Please let everyone know about these sources of information. Please contact to be added to the direct email list.

Current Activity

  • Chocolate sales are back! Please see Mrs. Kipp to purchase a box of candy to sell
  • Letters seeking contributions from local businesses will be sent out to create a gift basket fundraiser in the hope of regaining some of the funds lost due to carwash cancellation
  • Pepperoni Rolls and PIe sales – Orders due November 1 – Delivery on November 12, time tba

Upcoming Activities

  • November 7: Chipotle fundraiser at the Bridgeville location. A portion of CV family purchases that night are returned to the chorus
  • November 9: Veterans Day performance during school hours in the gymnasium
  • November 19: New York trip payment #2 is due
  • December 3: performance rehearsal 6 to 8 pm at the school
  • December 4: Holiday concert at 7pm in the auditorium. Concession stand / backstage bags w/ volunteers

The CVCPSA chorus booster meeting is Thursday, October 11  at 7pm in the High School Chorus room. Hope to see you there!

A letter from Mrs. Kipp – trip, other announcements

Hi everyone,
We’re sending the trip information that was distributed at last week’s meeting.  Please take time to read though all the materials.  The letter of intent, along with $115 is due this coming Monday, September 24,
The students are soo excited about the upcoming trip to NYC!  There are a lot of great activities for them to do and experiences that they will always remember.
We need parents to chaperone, as well.  The more people we have the less it will cost per person.
Join CVCPA and support your child’s ability to fund raise.  Help the group by holding a fundraiser.  We’ll help you get set up.  One of the forms gives you a lot of ways you can help the group on their way.
Questions?  Get in touch with Lana Kipp, treasurer Taryn Briggs, fundraising chairman Kelly Briggs or Wendy Czap who runs the Bunny Breakfast that funds the student’s end of the year banquet and dinner dance.
Andy’s chocolate is in!  Students can sell a box that contains 30 chocolate covered pretzels or oreos for $1 each.  The box costs $30 with $15 dollars paying for the box and $15 going into their account.  This account stays with them throughout their chorus career.  Students may purchase chocolate to sell at school with a check written to CVCPA with the student’s first and last name on the memo.
