Welcome to 2021-22 CVCPA

Hi everybody!
You are receiving this email because your son or daughter is scheduled for a CVHS chorus class this year.  There are many exciting things to look forward to!!

  • We will be singing without masks and having the regular concertsand programs that the students have missed so much.  Kudos to them for hanging in during last year’s difficulties!
  • A performance trip in March.  It will include 2 evenings in a hotel with friends, sightseeing, viewing a show and performingin a popular venue.  We will need parents to come along as chaperones and as officers to help us get the group there!
  • Meeting to get us together.  Come to the chorus room on September 2nd at 7 pm to see what it’s all about!  We’ll haverefreshments, hear from student officers, learn ways to raise funds for our trip and more.

Be involved in  CVCPA this year.  Many hands help lighten the load and these kids are worth it! If you are interested in being an officer please email me!Our Officer needs this year include;Co-Fundraisers (2) these people work together to plan fundraising opportunities for students and also other parents to run individual sales.  They also plan backstage messages at concerts.
Secretary Takes notes, edits and sends to parents to keep them updated.
Heather Martorella has graciously accepted the leadership role of President. She will be leading meetings and working with me to plan activities and reaching out for help implementing ideas.Valerie Kubiak has generously stepped forward to continue working as treasurer.  She will keep books for each student as we raise funds for trips and other activities.
Julia Marple Layton enthusiastically accepted her role again as our PR lady,  updating our website and broadcasting upcoming activities in the community.
Bring your no longer loved stuffed animals to our first meeting!  Gently used and washed/dried stuffed animals will be used as prizes at the annual Homecoming carnival.  These prizes have made our booth VERY popular in years past!  Simply wash on a gentle cycle and allow to air-dry.  (Dryers make their hair all funky!)
Looking forward to seeing you on September 2 at 7 pm in the chorus room!
